Analysis of Vulnerability Performances with the MEREC-Based RAFSI Method: G7 Group Countries

Year 2023, Volume: 25 Issue: 44, 464 - 490, 30.06.2023

Abstract

In particular, fragility performances of large economies can affect global economy and activities and strategies of other countries on fragility. Therefore, analysis of fragility performances of large economies is of great importance. In this context, fragility performances of G7 countries, which control more than half of global economy, were measured by MEREC-based RAFSI method, over values of "Fragile States Index (FSI)" components for 2021, which is latest and current. According to findings, firstly, it was determined that the most important component within scope of MEREC method was "demographic pressures", and the least important one was "external interventions". Secondly, according to MEREC-based RAFSI method, fragility performances of countries are listed as Canada, Germany, Japan, France, USA, England and Italy. According to sensitivity, discriminant and correlation analyzes within framework of method, it has been evaluated that fragility performances of the countries can be measured with MEREC-based RAFSI method within scope of FSI.

Kırılganlık Performanslarının MEREC Tabanlı RAFSI Yöntemi ile Analizi: G7 Grubu Ülkeleri

Year 2023, Volume: 25 Issue: 44, 464 - 490, 30.06.2023
