Öz
Hızla değişen ve zorlaşan günümüz rekabet ortamında hastaların istedikleri hastaneyi seçebilmeleri, sağlık işletmeleri açısından üzerinde durulması gereken önemli bir konudur. Fakat ulusal literatür incelendiğinde, hastaların hastane seçimleri konusunda hangi faktörlerin etkili olduğuna dair kapsamlı bir çalışmanın mevcut olmadığı görülmüştür. Dolayısıyla bu çalışmanın temel amacını; hastaların hastane seçimlerini etkileyen faktörlere ilişkin kapsamlı bir liste sunulması oluşturmaktadır. Bu amaç doğrultusunda, 1996-2017 zaman periyodu temel alınarak ve birtakım dâhil etme-dışlama kriterleri kullanılarak toplam 102 ulusal yayın sistematik derleme yöntemiyle incelenmiştir. Çalışma sonucunda, hastaların hastane seçimlerine etki eden 46 farklı neden olduğu saptanmıştır. Bunlar arasından hastalar için en fazla önemli görülen tercih nedeninin sırayla; hastaneye olan mesafe, yakın çevrenin tavsiyesi, fiyat uygunluğu algısı, alternatiflerin olmaması, sağlık sigortası türü, hastanenin tanınırlığı/prestiji ve hizmet kalitesi-kalite sertifikası olduğu belirlenmiştir. Diğer taraftan hastalar için en az önem atfedilen tercih nedenlerinin ise sırayla; sağlık personelinin cinsiyeti ve bireylerin hastane hakkında yaptıkları incelemeler olduğu tespit edilmiştir.
