This study aims to analyze the perspectives of different theoretical structures in explaining the relationship between functional income distribution and economic growth. The 2008 Global Crisis made the efficiency of the market economy and, accordingly, the relations between growth and distribution debatable once again. In this study, the relationship between functional income distribution and economic growth is discussed in the development process starting from the Classical period to the present day. The result of the study, in which the basic assumptions of different theoretical structures and their perspectives on the production distribution relationship are analyzed, shows that the differences are mainly due to the way economic systems are handled. Accordingly, it has been observed that there are significant differences in emphasizing the importance of functional income distribution between the Neo-Classical paradigm, which discusses the general functioning of the economy from the supply side, and the Post-Keynesian paradigm, which emerged based on the assumptions of the Keynesian approach, which discusses the demand side.
