Çevresindeki insanlarla etkili iletişim kurabilen kişiler hem sosyal hayatlarında hem eğitim hayatlarında hem de mesleki yaşantılarında daha başarılı olmaktadırlar. Bu çalışmada İletişim Fakültesi öğrencilerinin iletişim becerilerinin cinsiyet, bölüm, sınıf ve genel not ortalaması değişkenleri açısından incelenmesi amaçlanmıştır. Çalışma nicel genel tarama modellerinden kesitsel bir araştırmadır. Araştırmanın evrenini Bolu Abant İzzet Baysal Üniversitesi İletişim Fakültesi’nde öğrenim gören öğrenciler oluştururken; örneklemini ise bu evrenden basit tesadüfi örnekleme yöntemi ile seçilen 440 öğrenci oluşturmaktadır. Katılımcılardan elde edilen verilerin analizi sonucunda İletişim İlkeleri ve Temel Beceriler ile cinsiyet arasında (t= 3,88; p< ,001) ve yine Etkin Dinleme ve Sözel Olmayan İletişim Becerisi ile cinsiyet arasında (t= 4,10; p< ,001) anlamlı bir farklılaşma olduğu tespit edilmiştir. Diğer taraftan bölüm ve bulunulan sınıfın katılımcıların iletişim becerileri üzerinde anlamlı bir farklılaşmaya yol açmadığı görülmüştür.

People who can communicate effectively with the people around them are more successful in their social, educational and professional lives. In this study, it was aimed to examine the communication skills of the students of the Faculty of Communication in terms of gender, department, class and GPA variables. This study is a cross-sectional study from quantitative general survey models. While the students studying at the Faculty of Communication of Bolu Abant İzzet Baysal University constitute the universe of the research; The sample consists of 440 students selected by simple random sampling method from this population. As a result of the analysis of the data obtained from the participants, there was a difference between Communication Principles and Basic Skills and gender (t= 3.88; p< .001) and again between Active Listening and Non-Verbal Communication Skills and gender (t= 4.10; p< .001). A significant difference was found. On the other hand, it was seen that the department and the class did not cause a significant difference on the communication skills of the participants.
