Abstract

One of the most important regulations among the accounting standards intended to provide useful financial information to users is perhaps the standard of income taxes (IAS 12). The reason for this is that in reporting financial position and performance of an entitiy, IAS 12 takes deferred tax effects of financial events into account. In accordance with accrual base, IAS 12 serves to attend the objective of providing useful information to users. The objective of this study is to consider alternative approaches for the recognition of deferred tax effects. The study is expected to fill a significant gap in the current literature

Abstract

Kullanıcılara gerçeğe uygun finansal bilgi sunma amacı güden muhasebe standartlarının belki de en önemli düzenlemelerinden birisi; gelir vergisi (TMS-12) standardıdır. Zira bu standart, işletmenin finansal durum ve performansının raporlanmasında ertelenmiş vergi etkilerinin de dikkate alınmasını sağlamaktadır. Bu sayede, tahakkuk ve dönemsellik kavramlarına uygun olarak, gerçeğe uygun finansal raporlama yapma hedefine hizmet edilebilmektedir. Çalışmanın amacı; ertelenmiş vergi etkilerinin izlenmesinde kullanılabilecek alternatif yaklaşımları değerlendirmektir. Çalışmanın, literatürdeki önemli bir boşluğun doldurulmasına katkı sağlayacağı düşünülmektedir.
