Abstract
Bir ülkede üretilen ürünlerin karmaşıklık
düzeyinin artması, uluslararası ticarette ülkenin rekabetçiliği ve elde ettiği
katma değeri arttıran önemli bir unsurdur. Türkiye yoğunlukla orta düşük ve
düşük teknoloji düzeyinde ihracat yapmaktadır. Çalışmada ekonomik karmaşıklık
endeksinin orta sıralarında yer alan Türkiye’nin dış ticaret kompozisyonundaki
ürün karmaşıklığının ve niteliğinin artmasının dış ticaret hadlerine etkisinin
analiz edilmesi hedeflenmiştir. Bunun yanı sıra Türkiye’nin ihracat üretiminde
kullanılan ithal hammadde ve ara mamul girdisinin yoğun olması sebebiyle
ithalat değişkenin de dış ticaret hadlerine etkisinin analiz edilebilmesi için
modele dâhil edilmiştir. Çalışmada 1995-2015 yıllık verileri kullanılarak
Türkiye Ekonomik Karmaşıklık Endeksi (Economic Complexity
Index, ECI) ve ithalat değişkenlerinin dış ticaret hadleri üzerindeki etkisi Zivot
ve Andrews (1992) yapısal kırılmalı birim kök testi ve Johansen Eşbütünleşme
Testi (1990) ile analiz edilmiştir. Çalışma
sonuçları; ekonomik karmaşıklık endeksi ile dış ticaret hadleri arasında
istatistiksel olarak anlamlı pozitif, ithalat ile dış ticaret hadleri değişkeni
arasında ise negatif ilişki olduğunu göstermektedir.
