Abstract
Health tourism, a regional development tool besides being an important component of the tourism sector, has taken increasingly in Turkey since 2010 but has not yet reached the desired level. In Turkey, it is supported grants activities for health tourism by government to assess the potential for health tourism, to get a share of the market for health tourism as well as diversify tourism products. Turkey Accounting Standards (TAS) 20 the standard of Accounting for Government Grants and Disclosure of Government Assistance is one of the most important tools to be used in achieving this aim. The purpose of the study is to clarify how government grants related to the health tourism should be accounted according to TAS 20 in Turkey. For this purpose, an application is made with the in health tourism grants which accounted for the hypothetical example
